Hey QRS

My name is Claire, i raced a blaster in the Scottish this year and just want to say a big thank you because iv had a fantastic time this year. However iv been chatting to loads of fellow racers and have been hearing rumours like the scottish is going to be based at one track and only going to be local? and also the fact that there have been so many cancellations people are beginning to get really fed up and so have a lack of trust and leave. i would just to ask what could we do to ensure that there is a series of competing events next year? I know that the commitee isnt having the best of luck so im asking what we can do as racers to help or encourage more people to get involved. Im asking this because the championships mean so much to me and my little brother, wev made so many good friends this year and have learned so much about our quads and gained alot of confidence thanks to your events. It would be such a pity if it was all to end because we cant travel down south to the nett cos we dont have the time so the scottish is our only chance of competing and its so much fun.

Thank you

Claire Komar #55

Quad Racing Scotland would like to highlight the reasons behind the difficult decision to end the Championship on Sunday 5th October.  The committee met and the majority decided that due to many previous rounds having to be cancelled and then rescheduled, we simply had ran out of time and resources and felt the best option was to complete Sundays racing and end the Championship on seven rounds with six counting towards the riders overall score.

The outcome of the committee meeting was then announced at the riders meeting by the Clerk of the Course. This decision was neither questioned nor contested and therefore members present made informed decisions based on this announcement, such as changing classes on the day, using Sunday as their dropped round, some even put their bikes up for sale.

In conclusion Quad Racing Scotland would like to reiterate that the majority decision reached by the committee on Sunday will be upheld by the Club.
